Sydney is very good and what you ask for you get! Best thing is if you see something wrong don't like your hair she will make it right for you! Good environment and people!
I unfortunately cannot rate this salon 5 stars. I wouldn't even recommend this salon to an individual that I don't like. I initially made contact with Leiah a YEAR prior to my wedding and informed her of our May '16 wedding date at that time. I scheduled a trail for makeup and hair. They offered me the trails at half price which I found fair and nice. Things seemed fine until a week prior to our May wedding when I reached out to the salon to confirm my bridal appointment as well as those of my 4 bridesmaids. Keep in mind I scheduled everything back in early February during my trail. Leiah told that the 9:30am time no longer worked for them because the other stylist/makeup artist that was going to be assisting our party had other clients scheduled for 10am. My initial two thoughts; Why did you schedule other clients when you knew you had a wedding party to tend to? Why aren't you fixing this mistake by offering to reschedule your other clients since I had these appts on the books since Feb. Nope. I explained that with the wedding being a WEEK away that everything was pretty much finalized and I would appreciate keeping things scheduled for 9:30 as originally planned. I received a message back stating 9 am was the best the salon could do. I wasn't happy, but okay...Whatever I got over it. Its was just a 30 min difference.
Then FOUR days before my wedding I received a message from the makeup artist stating due a loss in her family she was no longer available. (I still was not upset because I understand unfortunate and sad things happen) but then I also received a message from Leiah, like 5 minutes after the other message, stating she would no longer be available. WHAT?!? She informed me that she would be gone to coach her daughters soccer game that same morning... she told me not to worry because other stylists were going to assist me. That was pretty much a slap in the face. Passing me off to other stylists when I sought you a YEAR in advance and now getting scheduled with stylists that I had never even done a trial with... I was grateful that she had another option for me, but was very disappointed in the way I was treated. And when I explained that to Leiah, she said she could recommend another salon...well that made that choice easy. I couldn't bare giving our money to this salon again, so thankfully another salon in town was able to accommodate us- a blessing in disguise. Cannot say I had a good/positive experience here which is unfortunate. Wedding planning can be stressful enough, and then to deal with this was awful.
Mady Hollingsworth fixed my hair after another salon did a terrible dye job. It didn't turn out quite the way Mady wanted the first time she colored it, so she stayed later and spent extra time to get it right. I also enjoyed having a margarita while I was waiting for the color to take. I will definitely be going back!
I ABSOLUTELY love all of the girls @ The Grand Strand! Leiah has been doing my hair for YEARS and has given EXCEPTIONAL customer service not only to me but to many family members and friends, actually anyone who comes in. When Leiah has been unavailable I have had Tabatha, Danille, Candice and Sadie do my hair or squeeze me in for a wax. All of the girls new and old have been wonderful to work with! I highly recommend them all.
